Autumn Morning on the Heatland
When, while the lovely valley teems with vapour around me, and the morning sun strikes the upper surface of the impenetrable foliage of my trees.
The Location Advantage
During a two course external training for my regular day job, I was fortunate to stay in the middle of the Dutch Veluwe.
I’m usually an early riser, so at 06:30 I was ready to see the sun rise over the Heathland.
And wow, it did not dissapoint!
Normally it would take me around 70 minutes to get to this location.
Due to my hotel stay I could walk there in 15 minutes. It was a cold morning so everything was covered in dew. When I came out of the forest into the openess I was shocked to see a dear run away at full speed.
It had seen me before I spotted him.
The following hour I spend photographing the beautiful scenery in the constant golden glow of the morning sun. Then I quickly had to head back to ensure I was on time for the first training course.
But the rest of the day I was energized by this great experience!
